We use sweet potatoes from Ibaraki Prefecture that are known for their proper cultivation history management. We do not use any sugar and food additives. We use multitol (reduced maltose starch syrup) that has 30% less calories than conventional sugar. It is a product born from our collaboration with Sagami Women's University (Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture). Aside from the name of the product, our mascot "Imosho-kun" was also designed by female college students.
    Producer's comment
[Tsukamoto's Sweetened Red Beans] There are some things that must not change even as time passes. There are some things that we need to try while time passes. We are a manufacturer of authentic handmade sweetened red beans that are cooked over direct heat. Tsukamoto Co., Ltd. has been continuously amassing history and developing manufacturng technology while preserving tradition since it was founded in 1935. As a manufacturer of sweetened red beans with our own sugar substitution technology, we aim to develop a new style in the industry and create a new business model in order to meet customer needs. Under our corporate philosophy of ""advancing traditions,"" we aim to create a company that can respond to the desires of users, and manufacture safe and secure products. We will not be stuck with the stereotypes about conventional sweetened red beans, as we will utilize new materials and create a new genre of sweetened red beans that has not been seen before. We obtained ISO22000-2005 certification in 2012, and has been pursuing "food safety and security" by utilizaing a food safety management system.
